Depends on your lifestyle. AF Academy is maybe a bigger sacrifice, seeing you’ll have to live in the dormitory and be under more stringent supervision. But the payoff is bigger. Academy grads are usually more highly regarded and get preferential treatment (though no one will admit it).

AFROTC is just as challenging (both have to train to real AF physical fitness standards). Both require a full courseload, but AFROTC cadets do not have to live on campus. You are basically a full time college student, but add on the AF courseload as well. Also, if you can handle it, you can have a part or full time job if needed to supplement your income or tuition. Both routes can take over your life for the meantime, so be ready to be dedicated to it. Both will get you a commission in the same grade, and there are four star generals that have come from each background. If you’re the cream, either way, you’ll rise to the top!

Oh, and you can’t be married, get married, or have kids if you attend the Academy (until you graduate)

if to be a pilot is your modest desire, then you have to chose the first choice, but if it’s not, choose the second. it all has its advantage to you, think it wisely. Explore what you really want

in my own opinion, air force academy really is a CHALLENGING than in a normal college, but a normal college could be so physically challenge too

at the very end, its all yours to choose
