When applying to a law school what should I indicate in my essay?

In many of the Law school applications there are essays that one must write. How relevant is this and what exactly are the schools looking for?

Don’t lie. That’s horrible advice.

Read the question. Law schools don’t give interviews. So, this is your chance to give them insight into you and your experiences. If you’re a minority or underprivileged some how, you can talk about struggles you went through. If you had a great extra curricular experience that isn’t obvious from your resume, you can talk about that. It’s really dependent on your own personal situation.

The point is, use it as your one opportunity to give a speech to the admissions people and show them a reason why they should take you.
