Whats the most paying field in medicine?
I’ve been optin for it after high school, so far im thinking surgeon but just for curiosity, which field in medicine pays the most?

find what you actually like to do. medicine is so stressful, so draining and so time consuming that more money will not make up for it if you are not happy. nearly all physicians are comfortable and can take care of their families. but, private plastic surgeons and sub specialty surgeons do quite well (orthopedics, cardiothoracic…)

Anesthesiology seems to consistently top the list for highest paying gigs in medicine. Other consistently lucrative fields include radiology, orthopedic surgery, and cardio-thoracic surgery.
The lower paying jobs in medicine are pediatrics, family practice, and general surgery.
Of course these are just general statements, as there are many variables that determine a physician’s salary (case load, for example).
I know that it is tempting to try to chase the big bucks, but remember to find a career that you actually enjoy.
