What should I do If i don’t get in the UCs i want?

hey all,

i’m planning on applying to

uc los angeles

uc san diego

uc santa barbara

uc irvine

uc davis

uc santa cruz

i’m almost positive ucla isn’t going to take me. i have a little chance in san diego and santa barbara. i have a decent chance in davis and irvine. i’m pretty sure in santa cruz.

my dream is san diego but i’m not so sure if that is going to happen. i really wouldn’t mind going to irvine or davis, but i don’t really want to go to santa cruz.

if i don’t make irvine or davis

should i go to a community college and transfer

go to a state? and transfer? or transfer?

or go to santa cruz then transfer?

There are a lot of reasons it could make sense to go to a community college first, then transfer. You could pull up your g.p.a. in an environment that isn’t as full of temptations that would jeopardize this effort for one thing. You could do community service etc. or whatever it takes to make you a cut above the rest and get you into UCSD.

IF you don’t get into San Diego…go to Mesa community college…in San Diego…sign up for their transfer agreement and go in in two years. They have a great transfer program! Many of my friends did it. I go to USD and love it!

I think iw ould og to a UC and then transfer.

But don’t doubt yourself. You never know if you will get into your dream school! just make sure you write an amazing essay.

my advice is to go to pierce college, get really good grades in your classes, take honors classes, and keep up your extracurriculurs and volunteering and you are guaranteed into ucla…every single year we get transfers from pierce by the handfuls…ucla is very fond of pierce college

one college is basically as good as another. Its the quality of education not the quality of the name of the school. employers know that.
