What should I do?

I currently commute to SUNY Farmingdale in NY. After this year (Sophmore), I will be transferring to either Towson University (Maryland), University of South Carolina, or Clemson University (South Carolina). If I were to go to Towson, I have friends who go to Loyola College, which is 10 minutes away from Towson, and would more than likely get an apartment with them off campus. If I were to go to either SC or Clemson, I don’t know anyone there, and considering both are such big universities, I would imagine it would be hard to meet anyone there. I’m not sure what direction to go in. I visited Towson and I really liked it. I have heard good things about SC and Clemson and I’m visiting the 2 in March. Any advice on this situation is appreciated.

Thanks.

You will be able to meet people in classes, at lunch, clubs etc. don’t let meeting friends hold you back from going to a college. It is also about learning and growing part of your life. Don’t stress about it, breaking away from your friends may help you meet more friends as well.

Good Luck!

Visit USC and Clemson and see how they compare. USC and Clemson are definitely better schools academically. It wouldn’t necessarily be hard to meet people there, especially because it’s so big. Are you interested in Greek Life? Every single friend that I have that goes to USC or Clemson are in a fraternity/sorority, and it’s an excellent way to make friends. I have a lot of friends who go to Towson as well, and they love it. If you’re under 21, Towson IS a bar school, so I don’t know if that would be an issue for you. It’s close to Baltimore though and has a great mall 😉 But really, visit all three and see which one you like best. They’re all good schools. Good luck!
