For the first day you should have:
notebooks
pens/pencils
flash drive
campus map
sticky notes
Don’t buy books until after you get the syllabus! Scan it on the first day and see which books will be used the most. Remember that some textbooks can be checked out of the library for a whole semester at a time!

Just a notebook that you can take notes in, and pencils or pens, whichever you prefer. You will find out what else you need from your teacher, and you can pick that up after the first day of class.
