What’s a good career choice for me?

I’ve been having difficulty deciding what it is I want to do. I love writing, public speaking, etc. I also have an interest in giving advice and helping people. I’ve often thought about going into something in Mass Communications or Psychology, but the thing is I can’t decide what it is I want to do. I really don’t want to spend half of my life in college, and not end up working till 32. I mean, if I HAVE to stay for like 8 years, so be it, but if I could slide with just a Bachelor’s Degree, that would be awesome. Any advice?

The best way to find out is to take career aptitude tests like this one http://www.job–listings.info/free-aptitude-test.htm and if you are lucky at the end they might even offer you a job, in any case they’ll tell you what suits your own personality, based on the test you took.

there might be a few more tests here http://www.job–listings.info/

hope I helped, cheers

If your preference is to go with just an undergraduate degree, then do not major in Psychology. You would need at least a master’s and preferably a doctorate to progress to a really good job in that field.

Much of your training for Mass Communications is on the job and you will have internships even at the undergraduate level.

I believe you would benefit from researching all the occupations you might be interested in at the Occupational Outlook Handbook, which is published by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
