Study hard and get a well rounded liberal arts education.

But your idea that a law degree = high income is false. Sure there are lots of lawyers who make big bucks, just like there are lots of athletes who go pro. But by and large, there are far more lawyers who make middle income salaries and many who scrape by. Its not automatic.

So if you are going to do it, make sure its because you really find the work interesting and not for the money.

Faculties of Law accept students from a wide variety of disciplines; what is most important is to do very well in whatever you choose to study. If you are not sure which area of law you wish to specialize in then I suggest taking a History degree. History has long been recognized as a good preparation for Law on two counts: 1) The law itself, based on precedent, is very historical and 2) the skills of reading and writing you will learn as part of your History training will serve you very, very well in the legal profession.
