An undergraduate and graduate student? An undergraduate student is studying for a typical college degree while a graduate student has obtained a degree and is pursuing an advanced degree called a Masters or a Doctorate.

An undergraduate is a person who is studying for a first degree at a university. They become a graduate on the day that they have finished their studies and in many cases, attend a graduation ceremony at their place of study.
