What movies have been set or filmed at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) or U Texas (Austin) or U Washington (Seattle)?
I want to see what these three campuses look like and I can’t travel to visit them. Have any movies been set or filmed at UC Santa Barbara? Which ones? “Man of the House” with Tommy Lee Jones is on FX tonight – it is set at U Texas in Austin – a pretty dumb movie – have any other movies been set or filmed there? And how about U Washington in Seattle? I hear Seattle is beautiful. Have any movies been set or filmed at UW there? Thanks!

Pictures would probably be your best bet. I went to UW and can’t think of any movies that I’ve seen that were filmed on campus. It is a beautiful campus though, especially in Spring. I live in Austin now, and I think the movie Slacker (dir. by Richard Linklater, who was a graduate of the UT film program) has some scenes that are filmed in the university area (although I don’t think it has any scenes on campus, specifically). It’s a good look at Austin as a whole though (even though it was filmed in 1991).

i dont know much about Washington but definetly Santa Barbara over Santa Cruz. Santa Barbara is the best UC after Berkeley and UCLA
