I would say up to a calculus level course used in physics course.

Here is an example of admission requirement for dental school

You usually need calculus courses in order to be a dentist. It is usually a required prerequisite before getting into dental school (most).

College Algebra at the very least, but that probably won’t cut it for a lot dental programs.

A good premed degree will go up to Calculus 2.

Then you have to apply to Dental school but it’s competitive so the harder your premed program and the better your grades, the better your chances.

how do you excel in chemistry if you’re bad at math?

you need as much math as required for you to graduate college with whatever major. and its different from school to school.
