you can be an economist, a university lecturer, a statistician or a government employee

Probably working in a government career in the EPA department comes to mind, or maybe as a professor teaching the material. I can’t really think of anything in the private sector that quickly comes to mind. The closest is…something that I can’t really think of the job title right now, but they work with architects and contractors in the building of new giant superstructures and so forth. What they do is basically go in before any groundwork is ever done and for several months test the soil, test the air, test everything the building will be sitting on and everything around it to ensure that there’s no environmental aspect that will affect the building not now but decades from now.
