Some states are higher, some are lower. Here’s a map that will tell you what the minimum wage is. Since cost of living varies wildly depending on where you live, “good” is relative. $5.85 is pretty bad in California. That’s why the minimum wage here is $7.50. Cost of living is a LOT lower in a place like New Mexico. So, their minimum wage is going to be lower than California’s.

You can work on campus, it’ll be easy work. You will probably get to do homework while you’re working. But, it will be minimum wage, and you probably ever have the oppurtunity to make more money than that.

But anyway, good jobs on campus, maybe try at a local campus bookstore? or somewhere else where you could use an employee discount, so you can save a bit of money. Basically, somewhere where you buy things, so you get a discount and save money! 🙂
