What is the salary for a 2 year registered nurse just out of school?
I have a BS in Business and a AAS in Human Services. I am thinking about going back to school because nursing jobs are so abundant.

well it really depends on the hospital and the location and whether you have an Associates Degree or a Bachelors, but at most the STARTING salary could be 40,000-45,000 and after you’ve been in the profession for a while you could earn up to 60 even 65,000 a year (but definitely not 50-60 to start as the answer below says)

title: yes, they both have the title RN since they both take the same exam to qualify. salary: the salary is basically the same. however, generally a 4-year rn might get paid $0.50 more per hour (about $1,000 more per year). working as the same job: some larger hospitals require nurses to have a 4 year degree. also, some states, such as new york, are planning on making the bsn the minimum requirement for nursing. also, only a bsn can work in administration. most people go for 4 years because you need a bsn to go onto higher education and become a nurse practitioner, nurse midwife etc.
