Even if you don’t see its practical use in your everyday life, studying for those classes gave you something you can’t see or touch. This is my debate with my husband: He’s American, I’m European. He fells that if what you study doesn’t “bring home the bacon”, it’s not worth studying. I believe what we study doesn’t just fill us with knowledge, but practices different part of our brain thus making us capable people. So, you having studied Algebra and Trigonometry makes you capable of loading a truck correctly, making sense of your tax return, picking the right loan for your house etc.

trigonometry is used by engineers a lot of buildings are done by computing their height using trigonometry , trigonometry is the reason why an engineer can measure the size or the dimensions of the building without even traveling around the whole building another important function off trigonometry is solving areas of irregular lands. there are lot of irregular land, and in that case, the land is divided into triangles so that area can be obtained easily. what topics in trig are being involved? a lot! sine law, cosine law, heron’s formula and many other special formulas as long as we speak about triangles, trigonometry is on its way another, is about celestial trigonometry, one of the most useful trigonometry, use in estimating location of celestial bodies and can be a useful tool in predicting the next asteroid passing through earth i’ve been dealing with Right Triangle Trigonometry and Oblique triangle Trigonometry and we’ve been using this to solve distances of boats from the port within a certain period of time, we used formulas to solve the height of the building with the angle of elevation given, we assume the length of the kite with its vertical distance and an angle given and a lot more

Unlike Algebra & Geometry, college introductory Trigonometry probably has few direct applications to everyday life. It is needed, however, for more advanced math & science concepts.

Every class that you study hard and succeed in does leave you with benefits. The ability to apply-yourself and work through new difficult concepts must be practiced. If you find you are successful in your life, trigonometry might just have helped you get there!

I use the concepts from trig and algebra if I’m doing any work on my house (repairing the deck, re-tiling the floor, things like that). Algebra can also come in quite handy when trying to make sure your mortgage broker isn’t cheating you!
