These are strange alternatives – there is no best school in the country as these are both “soft” degrees with no real academic standing (nutrition has more value than Psych by far). The psychology degree is one of those,”learn to say, ‘would you like that with fries?'” degrees unless you work in some large urban area where they have swallowed the nonsense that it is an important scientific field of study. It is fundamentally a fraud. Read Dr. Tana Dineen’s excellent,”Manufacturing Victims” before making any such decision about spending money. A seminary course in pastoral counseling, particularly if they have a professor who is well trained and familiar with Victor Frankl’s work and the approach known as “logotherapy” would be most useful.

Beyond that, the best and most respected by disciplines outside the psychology industry, is (or used to be) Syracuse Univ. in NY – their work has been serious and neither arrogant nor presumptious –

you prob mean which university has a good and reputable psych or nut. program bc there is no “best” univ. in america or the world in my opinion. each school has its own different programs and studies and majors etc. and thats what makes them all unique for everyone to apply and go to.
