What is more important for getting into a good college?

As I freshman, what is more important or will look better, getting an A in regular Geometry or a C in Formal Geomotry? I’m in all honors classes and I find myself with no time to do anything for me. I need to know if I should switch out of Formal (this is a year and a half above average), or should I stay in. Thanks, I appreciate your imput.

I would want the A! Better GPA, you know!

A C in Formal Geometry. I was in the same place as you, and I asked my college counselors (I had a little ‘team’ of people who advised me) and they said that colleges would be happier if I were in a higher class, even if I had a lower grade, because it would show that I wasn’t taking the easy way out, just taking a class to get a good grade, and, most importantly, was really challenging myself.

ahhh this is the question that plagues me beyond reason. but I say take the challenging class if you can. Colleges like to see that you’ve challenged yourself, so that you can handle the rigorous work of college. And try to get a good grade. If you don’t, it looks good enough to show that you’ve tried.
