What Is MIS ??
What is managment information system ?? What do you study in univeristy and is it hard ?? Does It have good job oppurtunites .. should I go to marketing instead .. I am really confused so please help .. thank you

MIS is exactly what it says it is, “The Management of Information Systems.” Mostly this is database management but not always. You are knowledgeable about computers and networks but really you are focused upon the information inside of them.
If you want to go marketing, go for it…they are very unrelated fields if you ask me.
And yes, there are jobs, and high paying ones at that, available to someone with an MIS degree.

It has to do with computers. You could get a degree in MIS and work as a network engineer, for example. MIS is going to involve a lot more technical classes than marketing. Marketing gives you the ability to work in a variety of industries, though. How difficult or easy it is depends upon you and your abilities. I’d find MIS impossible to study because it doesn’t interest me and I’m not very technical. If you like technology (how it works, not just using it), though, it might be easier for you.
You need to visit a career center, either on your high school campus (try the guidance counselor if you don’t have a career center) or at your college campus. You should be able to find information about job outlook and coursework there.
