What is meant by PHARMACY TECHNICIAN-I, II, and III designation? Is this only in certain states? Thanks!?
I teach a Pharmacy Technician program and had someone ask me the meaning of a person who is classified as a Pharmacy Tech-I, II, or III. It appears to have something to do with levels of knowledge/training. ANY help would be appreciated; I’m stumped!

You’ve got it right. In some states they have an education hierarchy for their licenses. There could be two different ways to look at it, though…in some states the designations go in order of progression with “1” being the higher level of training, and some go with “3” being the higher level of training.
In Washington State, they do not have levels…simpley have Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians…with the duties varying drastically.
But, anyway, it does have to do with their training level. You would have to check with the State Board of Pharmacy to confirm the levels of training.

The I, II, and III designation is something used in companies to designate seniority and experience. Legally, it means nothing. Normally, a pharm tech 3 will be the one with the highest seniority.
