What is considered “college level math” for med school entrance?

One of UC Davis’ Medical School admissions requirements is to complete 1 year of college level math (College level Statistics fulfills part of this requirement). Does “college level math” include Precalculus, Finite Mathematics, etc. Or do they mean Calculus?

Here is the number for the UC Davis Med School Admissions area. Call them—even if it is long distance. It is better to invest your time at this point with a call than to second guess the math requirement. The website was unclear. Good luck!

Traditionally, “One year” means two classes a semester long. This usually means that Statistics and College Algebra fulfill this requirement. However, as mentioned above, call the school and find out directly. It is always better safe than sorry.

Unless it’s a remedial course, all math taught in a college is ‘college level’. Generally, Calc I and II are the preferred math courses; however, if Statistics is accepted, by all means take it, as Epidemiology is about 75% statistics.

properly, i do no longer be responsive to the place you’re, yet in the united kingdom you want chemistry ,and maximum places will desire yet another technological know-how/maths concern. you will could take the UKCAT or BMAT (looking on college). you will could get the utmost plausible grades, as that is an extremely competetive concern, and get some stable workexperience in a well-being facility/care domicile style of place
