I would get some posters, with the sticky tape. Most dorm don’t allow paint or holes in the wall… and white walls are extremely boring and make someone homesick. Find some cool & interesting posters, and it’ll make your friend feel a lot more a home

Also, if you’re willing to spend a little more (and your friend doesn’t already have one), think about giving him/her an MP3 player. It’s always fun to have something to listen to while walking all across campus.

Another gift you could get is a bunch of energy drinks. Well, you can delay sending them until your friend’s finals week. Those energy drinks will be a welcomed sight for sore eyes.

make a gift package with pads.pencil,rules.etc… I hear that staples has laptops on sell for $ 400. and change. go there maybe you will see something you think your friend would like like a file cabinet they come even in boxes with files. dict.ionary bools etc…. pens just make a gift package giving your best , if not a set of towels, socks tshirts,
