What is a good college level physics research topic?

I am a senior in college and am taking my research topics this semester. I need a topic on physics to research and present. I’m having problems thinking of a topic I could do. I’m very interested in the Electromagnetic aspect of physics but would be open to any other topics of physics. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

You could look into some of the early history of electromagnetic study and relate it to topics being studied today. They used to think electricity and magnetism had nothing to do with each other. Talk about how they figured that out and how it relates to other topics in physics and helped build a foundation for Einstein’s work. I don’t know how much you can talk about historically, but certainly put the physics as the main topic and fill in the details of how it was discovered.

I would suggest and say you should pick that topic you have in mind because you have foundation idea about it, the next step is to look deeply at what part of electromagnetic aspect you want to research into. Power tools industries or modern rail transportation and other industries can gain from your research.
