What is a CHES exam like?

I am considering taking the exam to become a certified health education specialist. If you have taken it, I would be interested in hearing from you about the types of questions asked and whether or not you feel it was worth your time and effort (do you feel you got a better job because of it?).

Thank you!!

I took the exam years ago (it may have changed since then). Anyway, they ask general health questions (nutrition, physical fitness), some advanced health questions (communicable diseases, safety), and other questions that originate from anatomy, biology, and first aid. Now, the test may have changed, but when I took it years ago, it was not difficult. I think while it’s not crucially necessary, it looks very good that you took it. It, being a certification of sorts, can only help your resume, not hurt it. Good luck!
