There is no formula for getting in. You just have to try your best at everything you do, including in academics, extracurriculars, volunteering, sports, etc. The only way to know whether you can get in or not is to apply. I know lots of people with really low GPA getting in. I also know lots of people with high SAT scores who didn’t getting in.

Count on at least a 4.0 GPA, top 5% SAT, mulitple activities (playing a musical instrument, community service, debate team/class president plus varsity sports help), lots of AP and community college courses- as many and as hard as you can get. Good luck….
