Seriously, facebook. You would get on at 3 PM and not get off until 9 PM or later. It was a sad existence. Of course, you did get invited to parties, make study plans, and hang out plans via facebook too. It has its positive and negative consequences.

And during that time away from facebook, it was mostly sleeping, going to class, studying and eating.

P.S. I did graduate MagnaCumLaude and was actively involved with three campus clubs even though I spent all that time on facebook.

It’s a mix of both. You have to do some studying to stay in college and pass. You also should spend time with your friends. College weekends are for going out and having fun. study during the week.

Back in college, I think I had a pretty even split between classes, studying, friends, extracurriculars, work and sleep. I also think I learned a lot more from late night discussions with friends than I did from classes. Now, I’m in law school and I definitely don’t have time to see friends very often as I am always studying.

For me, it was about equal. I spent about half my time in classes, reading school books, and doing homework; and half my time alone, with friends, or doing volunteer work.

(I didn’t need to work, in college).
