What do do at university job fair?

I know I’ll need to dress professionally and bring a resume–I suppose I should bring several copies right?

I’m an accounting major. What can I talk about that will be impressive? Career goals?

So should I talk alot about myself or ask more questions?

What specific questions should I ask?

What else do I need to do to?

You should definitely be prepared to ask questions about them, and they may ask questions about you. What would mostly impress them is if you show an informed interest in them. If you can find out ahead of time who will be there, do some research on the companies (especially the Big 4, if that is the direction you want to go in) on the Web, so that you can ask them about things specific to them. That way, you don’t have to brag about yourself, but they will be impressed with your preparation and level of enthusiasm. Another way of putting in information about yourself is to fit it into your questions about them, for example: “At what point in my career path would I have the opportunity to manage people? As President of my sorority, I have learned that I really enjoy management, as well as working directly with the books.” You should definitely bring along a number of resumes; if you don’t have one to give to each company you talk to, they will easily forget you.
