What degree should I get if I want to be able to travel around the world whenever I want, wherever I want?

A degree that I could get at a college – for cheap – would be better than one at a university.

Presumably you could only do that if you were self-employed, so something like entrepreneurship or international business would be closest. Even then, though, you would be going to places which would help the business, not “wherever, whenever”. Travel agents get to travel a lot, but I’m afraid it is a dying profession in the face of the internet, and besides, they, too, can’t go where they choose but where their customers want to go. Journalists travel a lot too, but they go to places where there is news, at the wishes of their bosses, not their own choice. I’m a university professor and find that I get to travel a lot for work, but again, we go where our students can learn something, and always outside of class time, not wherever, whenever. The latter may need to wait until you retire.

Travel writing can get you to some interesting places–a friend is a travel writer, and he had degrees in English and library science–but even with that, much of the travel would be by assignment, so even then it’s not really a “whenever, wherever” set-up. Unless your entrepreneurial and willing to go it alone, like Rick Stevens, almost any job will have restrictions.

The only job I can think of that meets your specifications is travel writer, for which you could probably major in anything as long as your writing skills are solid. It’s not a very secure line of work, though: you have to hope that there’s someone out there who wants you to write about where you want to go and will pay you for it. You’re probably better off going into business and going where they tell you until you make enough to retire and travel independently.

according to risk. some human beings in Europe might take you in for a evening or something… yet no. Our worldwide is purely too suspicious to grant something of their own, to lend time, or to grant somebody look after. Its in straight forward terms a reality and might’t get replaced. i think of you’re able to attempt, and write a e book approximately it. you’re able to make funds from the published e book once you’re performed. i’m particular human beings might study it, sounds exciting.

business school and have your own business ,or free lance journalism, so that no one dictates what you must do or where to go.
