What courses to I need to complete to become a bank teller?

I’m looking at becoming a bank teller, although am unsure as to what course I need to complete.

I have looked at the TAFE website, although have been unable to find what I am after.

Do you even need advanced training to work in a bank? I’ve worked as a treasurer in the past & have plenting of skills when it comes to float & account keeping, is this enough?

You don’t need to take a course to become a bank teller. Now if you want to move up in the bank, then you might need to take a banking course.

It’s not hard to get a job as a teller. Every friend that I have that worked as a teller had no prior experience, and no degrees.

I don’t believe that you need any specific courses to work as a bank teller. A few of my close friends are bank tellers and many are still in college with no degrees. One girl I know has just graduated from HS and she works as a teller. If you want to move up in banking however, a degree may be required.

I don’t know where you are located, but here, a number of my students have worked as bank tellers from the time they were just starting college. I therefore think all that they require is a high school diploma (and it doesn’t appear that the job pays very well, either).
