What can i do with a double major in International Studies and Spanish?
Favorite Answer
Job opportunities can include:
Historian, lawyer, foreign service officer, economist, banker, international trade specialist, customs officer, translator/interpretor, market research analyst, travel agent, researcher, political scientist, public relations specialist, journalist, peace corps/VISTA worker, lobbyist, labor relations specialist, nonprofit organizations, etc.
Granted, most of the best jobs go to those with graduate degrees and experience, but that’s the case with most majors. Consider studying abroad for a semester or joining the peace corps. Both will broaden your horizons and offer you a chance to see the world. Do an internship to gain experience, network and help you in your job search later. And that’s without the additional benefit of a Spanish major or minor, which will open even more opportunities for you. But whatever you choose to major in, do what makes you happy and offers you opportunities. Good luck.
