There are lots of opportunitues with an education degree. If it is for teaching school aged children, think of all the things children are involved in besides school.A good place to look for these sorts of jobs would be with the city since in most places it is the city that runs community centres and so on. Also, remember that teaching doesn’t have to mean in a classroom at a school. It can be a useful degree for HR positions at many companies where perhaps you could be involved in the hiring and training of new employees. Finally, don’t forget that no degree is a complete waste. Many companies look at the fact that you have a degree as impressive even if it is not related to the field. A degree helps show that you are a hard worker and that you have the ability to learn.

I have the same degree. You can do almost anything with a bachelors in education: corporate trainer, teacher, social service work, administration, principal, lobbyist for NEA, go to law school, own a day care, work for a non-profit, pharmaceutical sales, really…any business job. They just want someone with a 4 yr degree. These days, you can do anything with a bachelors. ONce you get a masters, that is what gets you more specialized into a certain field. You can try teaching while you get go back and get a mastors in education, and then with that you can maybe write text books in the area you focused on.

Teaching, Administration, college counselor, pre-school director, any tutoring institute , Admission Rep. at any University, there r alot of opportunities out there besides teaching
