College town where everything is very close to campus and walkable (no need for a car).

Not elite, but very good academics.

Most of the schools have very good departments to help you get internships.

Davis is a college town, so most places are walkable, distance wise. UCD has a great agriculture and biology program. Like Linkin mentioned, UCD isn’t elite like Berkeley or LA, but UCD is pretty damn good. UCD is now D1 and theres a new football stadium being built(pretty much done). A very balanced social and academic life offered to students. Lots of intramural sports. Davis is very close to many popular spots such as SF, Sacramento or Lake Tahoe. UCDavis also has one of the best, if not the best, veterinary school. Davis also has a good medical school, law school, and business management school.
