How can I convince my dad that my college is bad?

I go to Johnson and Wales University at Charlotte, Ive been going there for a year and I hate it, I HATE IT!!!

Im an accounting major and I keep getting called a chef, but thats not the only reason

The college is small and in the middle of the city, litterally, I can look out the window and see a bad neighborhood.

I always hear about how it was evryones back up school and there just killing time here to transfer.

It was the only college I applied to and they accepted me here.

Those are the logical reasons, now here are the real reasons that Im afraid to tell my dad

There are almost NO attractive women there.

Im in the Minority, Its realy unconformable for a white guy (I know that sounds so horrible!!!!!!!! Im sorry but its the truth, its just that Im not attracted to black women and I have a hard time making freinds)

The reason im there in the first place is beacuse Ive been picked on and my whole life but when I stayed there for a weekend one summer people were nice to me.

You’ve got a tough issue. Although college is not about getting an attractive woman, it should be someplace you feel comfortable, where you make friends and where you can trust the people around you.

Stop trying to convince your dad the college is bad – it’s actually not a bad school Instead, explain to your Dad that, although he may not know it, you had a rough time in high school making friends and had hoped to find yourself when you got to college. Explain that you are not happy in this school, which makes it very difficult for you to make friends and that you really would like to go someplace else.

Have a back up – a community college in your neighborhood, or another university near where you go now.

Do the research on other colleges you want to transfer to. Put your accounting mind to the task. Figure out every expense and compare it to where you are currently.

Then explain that the new suggested colleges have more courses you could take and that you could even become an actuary (pays really well) if you transferred. YOur old school probably doesn’t prepare you to take the actuarial exams that are given somewhere (not in college).

You could mention that you are a minority, but I wouldn’t stress it.

you should have applied to more colleges and John and Wales university is an easy school to get into but its know more for its prestigous as a chef school so its easy to see why your being called that. why don’t you just transfer. just say that your not feeling it and if you transfer to a state college it would be cheaper and to a school thats more renowend for its accounting progrrams

College is not bad

Reality is

Learn to live with reality for without it you’ll be stocking shelves at K-Mart for $7 an hour.
