i think purdue is a good match school for you. most applicants and people that go there have the same credentials that you have. it’s not a tough school to get into.

i went to a really competitive high school, but still, out of the 80 that applied to purdue. every single one of them got accepted.

purdue doesn’t give out middle 50% ACT but if you convert over their middle 50% from their SAT to ACT, it’s about 22-28. so you’re sitting right in the middle. i have a good feeling your gpa would look a little better, especially if you’ve taken any honors or AP courses.

try taking the test again. if you can get up to that 28, you will improve your odds significantly – especially at a large public school like purdue that looks a lot into numbers.

You’ll never know if you don’t apply, so don’t worry about it. I don’t see why you’d have a problem with that GPA but maybe things have changed more than I thought since I was in undergrad. At any rate, it’s a really good GPA so apply wherever you want to go. If you’re nervous about your chances for getting into a particular school, make an appointment with the admissions office for an interview. That should help a lot – it’ll give you another chance to impress them and they’ll get the chance to get to know you and see that you’re highly interested in their school and that you can take initiative. Good luck.

Your GPA will put you at a disadvantage. Couple that with a moderately high ACT score colleges will know that you were a smart student who did not have motivation to learn. Keep in mind, you are competing with students who have very high GPAs and sometimes near perfect SAT/ACT scores. Do I think you should apply to Harvard? No. Other lesser known schools? Go for it.

Don’t sweat it! A lot of my classmates have been accepted to Purdue and they had very similar stats. If you have a few extracurriculars and volunteer hours, you should be solid! Good luck

very good. i have roughly the same stats 3.5 gpa, 1500 sat and i got into johns hopkins. i know ppl who got into ivys with those scores also.

basically you have a chance to go newhere but like i said its a chance. with high compeition schools once you qualify its sheer luck whether they like your extra curriculars.

Forget Purdue – with those academic credentials, you should consider a rewarding collegiate career at the University of Phoenix 🙂

Not very good. Your grades aren’t bad but just average. I would look into an affordable state school close to home.
