You need an attorney to write you a cease and desist letter. It should be easy enough to do if they cannot produce a transcript; I would guess that you also have evidence that during the period in question, you were elsewhere and clearly not available to be enrolled at their school for 3 years (90 credit hours). Basically, you need to have someone say, in an authoritative way, that if they cannot produce the necessary evidence by a certain date, that you will consider the matter closed, and if they continue to harass you, you will be forced to take legal action. Have a lawyer do it, though, because it is much more intimidating (I love being a lawyer – in real life, I scare no one, but as a lawyer, I am suddenly frightening and powerful!).

Obviously you’ve been a victim of identity theft. I would call the local police department and report it right away or would go to the campus police department and report it there. Make sure that you take your birth certificate, your driver’s license and your ssn with you to verify who you are. Then report it to the credit agencies. Call the Federal Trade Commission in your state and report this abuse. The college will be forced to take notice. I would also contact an attorney about getting back any money you’ve already paid to the loan company. This should not have happened especially since you withdrew on the first day, it is the college’s mistake and maybe they have your information mixed up with another students and they should be the ones investigating their own systems.
