URGENT URGENT!!! please! thanks everyone!?

ok I have a couple of questions for ya’ll …I have my GED …and I am currently in a community college … if I was in a Special Education when i was in high school before i left ..will that show up on my records ..and will the university not except me because of that …even if i did good in a community college got good grades did activities and all that! Would they care ?? Because i plan on transferring to Northeastern University after i receive my associates degree ..i beleive that you can go anywhere you want in life as long as you put your mind in to it! right?? I think i was in that special crap because i was hyper but im not sure it was so long ago ..im not even sure if i was actually in one… but i remembered if i was …i got out of that class and went to normal classes!!!! PLEASE HELP!!! thanks so much ya’ll

Also i plan on going to Northeastern University and take pre-Medical studies and then off to medical school!

I’m sure your special ed. class record would show up, but the college can not deny your application for that.You have your freedom of rights, and the first amendment from the bill of rights applies to all colleges as well as to the rest of the U.S. And besides, you did what you had to do to get all of your credits anyway. Why would Northeastern University want to deny some one who has their head on their shoulders?

As far as I’m aware Universities are not allowed to discriminate based on mental handicaps. In fact, they accommodate people with special needs: audio, visual, and even longer testing time if needed. I know in the state of Florida, if you have an AA any public university must accept you. Private universities go on a different set of rules, you should probably consult the university to get the best answer.
