When I was in college, I worked three jobs at one point. I was a tutor 2 days per week for about 2 hours a day. I was working at Radio Shack for about 4 – 6 hours per day, usually 3 or 4 days per week, and mostly on weekends, and I was teaching dance 3 – 4 days per week as well, usually 3 or 4 hours per day.

I had to fund my education somehow! That stuff’s not cheap!

I am a full time student taking 18 credits, and for the last year I’ve worked 40 hours a week. Before that I worked anywhere from 20-30 hours a week, while maintaining a full time status in school.

I’m no longer in college, but I often worked for recitals on campus for just a few hours per week..maybe 5-8 tops. I know it isn’t a lot of hours nor money (living at home really helped), but it was a job I absolutely loved.

When I was a junior in college, I worked at the university library and that was about 15-20 hours a week. I made some really good money that semester, which was nice!

I’m 23 and supporting myself in school. Jobs are everywhere. If there’s a place you like to go a lot (for me, Starbuck’s), just walk in and ask if they’re currently accepting applications. You need to ask yourself what kinds of things you like doing. Are you good with people, or would you prefer to be alone? If you’re good with people you might like working in a restaurant or in retail (ie the mall) or in the leasing office of an apt complex; if you prefer to be left alone you might enjoy a desk job (there are always desk jobs available through the university). If you’re really really good at a particular subject you could be a lab TA on campus. There are tons and tons of options. Just a random piece of advice though: if you need to actually support yourself, do your best to find a job that pays above minimum wage. Working while you’re in school is totally doable, but it’s hard if you’re supporting yourself fully. That extra couple of dollars per hour REALLY add up fast. Try to find a job that either starts above min wage, or will increase your pay quickly. Most universities offer employment opportunities and resources to students. Try looking at your school’s financial aid website or walking in to the financial aid office to ask the question. They ought to have plenty of resources for you about ways to get jobs. Good luck!!

Not currently, but most students work around 24 hours, so that’s two half shifts during the week and two full days during the weekend. Full time day workers like to have weekends off, so students typically get those shifts.

Part time online jobs are the best way to make additional income from the comfort of your own home. But there are so manyonline jobs. Plus, it brings me over $2000 every month, of course sometimes I do more, sometimes less, but it’s still some good money.

I’m not in undergrad anymore, but when I was, I worked between 20 and 30 hours a week while going full-time.
