University of Georgia Early Admission?
If you have a 1200/1810 on the SAT and a 3.2 GPA, whats the chances of EA at UGA?
Also, I’m confused on what ethnicity I should choose. I am one-fourth Mexican. You would never guess that from looking at me, but that’s besides the point. Throughout my life, on documents, etc. we have always chosen Hispanic or White. We would kind of flip flop between the two. My question is: What race should I choose? Minority status is supposed to help your chances of admission, but with hispanics making up only 2% of the student body at UGA, I’m kinda of skeptical about it. Help?

I had a 1390 on the SAT (out of 1600) and didn’t get in EA. I got “deferred” and had to wait until regular admissions. You need to provide some more information (ex high school clubs, gpa etc). I had a 3.9 with 7 AP classes. Colleges are getting harder and harder to get into now, so you need to make yourself stand out. I had the same question as you (Im 1/4 native american but you can’t tell, and I think I ended up just putting both (multiracial or something). Anyway, always apply to more than one school, and don’t be discouraged, you can always transfer in if you don’t get in. I am now getting my Master’s at UGA. Good luck, email w any questions!
