There isn’t a specific school for male nurses there is nursing schools. However, male nurses are highly regarded in the profession right now. You can take schooling as little as an associate in science degree which takes 2 years and should yeild you a RN. Or up to a bachelors degree or a masters degree. 4-6 years. If you hold a masters degree you can be a nurse practitioner. This is a profession that works side by side with a doctor and practices medicine.

Average starting salary is around 34-36 thousand and upwards as a nurse practitioner upwards of 60 thousand.

Hope some of this information is helpful.

Are you in the US?

you are meaning RN I believe. There are 2yr RNs that go to a community college and then there are 4yr nursing degrees (BSN) the average salary seems quite low. I am not sure where you are getting those figures. I live in a major metropolitan are and make 27/hour + shift bonuses. A lot more that 18,000

I don’t think there are any special schools for male nurses. You go to nursing school or community college depending on what level of nursing you’d like to practice.
