You don’t need to worry about filling out applications; that’s the easy part.
It wouldn’t hurt to keep an eye out for people you could ask to write letters of recommendation. Here, you’re basically talking teachers, coaches, and employers.
My personal view is, don’t stack up extra-curricular activities just to prep for the college application process. The college application process is not the big test here–life is.
Start figuring out NOW what you enjoy doing with your time, and start thinking–even if only vaguely–about what you might want to do for a living. (There are plenty of career options you can explore–through internships, volunteer work, etc–as a high school student.) Too many 22-yr-olds get out of college with no clue as to how they’re going to support themselves. (I’m serious.)
