Generally Bing is considered the “best” SUNY, and neither school appears on the US News’ list of 50 best Engineering graduate schools

Binghamton hands down. They’ve just renovated a lot of the dorms and they’re really nice. Plus all the dorms are in little communities with their own dining hall so it’s very social! And the party scene is pretty good. You have to take cabs and buses everywhere but it’s worth it. Buffalo I heard is okay but the party scene is average. It takes awhile to get downtown and it’s a pretty big city so it’s easier to get lost. And at buffalo you’re just a number because there are many students there. Bing can seem like that but they try to give it that small community connection kind of feel. Plus bing is ranked a little higher and has many majors. However bing has a strong emphasis on academics and places less priority on athletics. If partying is you’re thing I would say Cortland is the best out of all the suny’s downtown is in walking distance from campus and everyone is really chill. Campus is beautiful and very close knit. Easy to get involved and the classes are really good.
