Skipping anatomy lectures?

Is it ok to skip anatomy lectures? I found that going to some of my lectures are a waste of time because all the points that the lecturer covers tends to be in the textbook.

Isn’t it better to instead of : –

Spend 30 minutes in traffic going to university & listening to the lecture for 2 hours ….

to spend this time at home studying with your own textbook and teaching yourself?

Only if attendance is optional (not recorded) AND you know someone in the class that can report on any unusual events or info that was given.

Also, want to make sure there are no pop quizzes, etc.

I don’t think so. My A&P instructor went over things that weren’t covered in our textbooks, and went over some stuff in more detail than was in our text. Plus, you miss the notes you get from the lectures, and the questions brought up by classmates…not to mention questions of your own.
