Being in all honors classes will prepare you for what it will take for you to be in high school honors classes. Ivy League schools won’t look at your grades in middle school, but developing study habits and applying yourself to your academics is a good plan.

Oh, and don’t fear the Ivy League. They don’t judge you on how much financial assistance you may or may not require.

They won’t look at your middle school transcripts, but it’s usually quite difficult to move from regular classes to honors classes. On top of that, if there’s really a lot of doubt about your ability to be in honors classes in middle school, you’re probably not going to make it to an Ivy League school anyways.

It’s always good to prepare yourself in the future.

You can be in all honors classes in middle school. Plus if you do well and you happen to know a prestigious high school in your area (most likely an applied/math science technology high school), and get into that high school, you have a good chance in getting into ivy leagues.

If you like the challenge, go for it. It’ll help prepare you for honors classes in high school. But unfortunately, this doesn’t guarantee acceptance into Ivy Leagues…there’s no such thing.

No, frankly having $$$ counts much more than getting good grades. To keep the Ivy leagues ‘ivy’, they require quite a bit of money to keep their programs going.
