SAT test: I have to study 10 hours/day??

I’m doing my first SAT in a month. And I was given the advice that if I want to ace it I need to study 10 hours/day?

I think that’s quiet a lot…isn’t 5 hours/day (which is the time i study now) enough for me to try to ace it?

I studied one hour total. Mabe two.

I think your studying five hours is overkill.

The SAT is all about previous knowledge. Practicing is only going to give you a better feel for what the test is like. No matter how much you study, its not going to give you a good score unless you memorize the dictionary and every possible math problem in existance. But even this wont help you with the writing section.

Dont stress over this test. Dont study for five hours a day. You can take it again. You can take the much better ACT. The best way to prepare is to not think “this test will determine the rest of you life.” Because it wont.

You don’t really “ace” it, plus SAT is all about your test taking skills nothing else. I’ve had friends who have never studied and managed to get a 2200 on it, yet have a crappier GPA than I do.

SAT’s are a joke. They are utterly pointless and there is no real way to prepare for them. Just wing it.
