Question about sending in AP scores.?

Okay, I’m about to be a senior this year and I have applications coming up. During my Junior year, I took two AP tests and I received my scores this July. Do I necessarily have to send in my scores this Fall along with my application? I’m planning to apply to 6-8 universities and I realize that the price is $15 for each report I send in.

Also, I’m taking AP classes this upcoming year. IF it is not necessary to send in my scores this fall, can I just send in all of my cumulative AP test scores next May? Will I be in trouble if I do this?

Thanks 🙂

AP scores are primarily for obtaining college credit for high school classes; you don’t need to include them in your application. However, if you scored well on one or more of the tests, there’s usually a place on the application for “academic achievements”, which is where you could just list your scores. Next May when you take the rest of your AP tests, just send your new scores to the college you’ll be attending, and they’ll get your previous scores as well. Then your find out if you can skip some classes based on your scores.
