I knew two people who did triple majors. I haven’t heard of a quad major. But I have to ask: WHY?

If you’re so ambitious and time is not a factor, why not spend that extra time on graduate school instead of a big bachelors degree? When you get into the workforce, a quad major on a baccalaureate diploma is still not going to earn you a bigger paycheck than a PhD.

Also, does your school (or pick of schools?) offer all those majors? Many schools don’t differentiate between finance and business. They might have one, the other but seldom if ever both.

Anyway, depending on how ambitious you are, you could probably do it in 4 years (econ, business and finance overlap significantly and you would find your courses counting for many of those majors simultaneously). Many people take 5 years to finish school, even with only one major.

depending on your school …. some of the classes you’ll need will overlap and may count towards multiple majors. I think to pick up that many majors will take around 6 years, if it normally will take you 4 years to get a degree.

Is it worth it? Well, in terms of a career, not really. Jobs are so specialized these days that being an expert in four different fields won’t really put you at an advantage. What do you want to do after college? Which field are you the most interested in? Do you plan on going to graduate school? I’d say pick the one or two majors that will prepare you the best for the career you’re interested in, then after working for a couple of years, you can go back and study yet another field in graduate school.

Honestly, considering how many times people switch careers, it’s better to finish a degree sooner rather than later so you can get out there in the real world and find out what you really like. And then you can always go back to graduate school. But don’t spend 6 years in undergrad only to discover after a year of working that you don’t like your field.

I am currently a double major and a minor. Miraculously, I am still managing to graduate in 4 years. I do have to take more classes than usual but I am alright with it. I still have one year to go to get my degrees. To be honest, I don’t really suggest majoring in four majors. Not even considering that it would take you a long time to complete all of them, consider majoring in two or three and minor in one. Remember there is a difference between working in your major and just studying it for pleasure. The thing is that Finance, business, and economics all go together. You can major in Economics with an emphasis in business Finance, or something like that and minor in Psychology. Talk to your counselor you can definitely mix and match the majors and get a great education. I highly suggest combing them and go to graduate school. That way you would be able to get the combination of your degrees and still get a further education. Have the best of luck!

There is such a thing as spreading yourself too thin. You’re off to a brilliant start for….. a mammoth case of burnout. If you really have to, go for a double major then take minor subjects that deal with the other two.

You are crazy, quadruple major is a huge undertaking. The requirements for each of those are similar but once you get into the 3000-4000 level they will become more specific, therefore more demanding, good luck.
