Psychiatry.?
Okay.
So. I have been told by people that I should pursue psychology, then attend medical school to study psychological medicine.
HOWEVER, some people say to pursue biomedical sciences before joining medical school.
MY point is – if I’m wanting to become a psychiatrist, wouldn’t it be logical to go for psychology [a course which covers biology, genetics, humanity, etc] instead of a broad class like biology?
So I need your replies.
Should I take psychology in a university of biomedical sciences.
I’m already going to take AP courses for Biology and Physics Honors; I’d hate to get in depth with chemistry too – but I’ve aleady taken that too.

I agree with you I feel you should take psychology and developmental psychology if eventually thats what your going to go into. Although, I feel with all and any courses you are going to take will be beneficial. Have you contacted a counselor and asked what the prerequisites are for the psychiatry program are yet. Maybe they can shed some light on what courses you need to take….. Good luck

stick with psychology. if that’s what you’re eventually gonna get into, then there’s really no point in taking something else different. good luck!
