Private college perks?
I always hear people saying that private schools offer “perks” to students that come in with a high GPA. Is this true? And if so, what schools do you know of that do this, and what are these perks?

To my knowledge and experience, the only perk I received at a private college was the opportunity to help Sallie Mae. I did get a scholarship (which still didn’t cover the fortune it cost to attend) and was in the honors program but when I left due to a medical emergency and returned to a public university I noticed little difference apart from the quality of education.
Some private universities are better recognized and will have more opportunities to network with alumni but that’s about it.
