You didn’t say what type of entrance exam you have to take, and I haven’t taken a standardized test in awhile, but I would think that starting to learn some vocabulary words, if for instance, you’re talking about the SAT exam, soon wouldn’t hurt. Start looking around for the right books to study from (check out bookstores) and get familiar with the format of the test and the type of questions you’ll be asked, especially if your high school doesn’t prepare you for the test. Each of these books should have information on how long you should prepare for (probably 3-6 months depending on the test), practice tests, etc. Also, google the name of the exam as well as “how to study for the _________ test” for tips.
