Possible scam? www.pennfoster.com?

Which one is the real deal? I find it odd that the college has more than one main site. No two different colleges should have the same name. I dont think that would be legal because of trademarks or copyrights.
From what I remember in college, colleges have to have the “.edu” extension on their website, but maybe it changed?
Are scammers invading yahoo answers by giving biased, fraudulant information to unsuspecting individuals?

“Penn Foster” is made up of at least two affiliated schools, an older Career School (pennfoster.edu) and a College (pennfostercollege.com). I wouldn’t worry about those two sites. The .com site makes me nervous, though. I’d just use the .edu addresses.
It’s not uncommon for schools to have two different “lead in” addresses. My school uses virginia.edu, but for a long time if you typed in uva.edu, it would lead you temporarily to a site that told you to use the virginia.edu address.
