Glass blowing major?
Are there any colleges that offer glassblowing as a major? Or even just offer it as an extra class.

You could start by checking out suppliers of glassblowing tools and equipment online, many of them have frequent classes in their respective local areas. If you’re the self teaching type, just do some reasearch and invest in some secondhand supplies on ebay. Go for it! I personally occasionally blow glass and it’s remarkably doable. Lastly, look for jewelry schools or classes in your area, since glass blowing and lampworking beads for jewelry are often done by the same people. Good Luck, you Blow Girl!

I have never heard of a degree in glassblowing. Most colleges offer degrees in fine arts and you take courses in subjects such as pottery or painting. I think your only chance of learning to blow glass is to find a local glass blowing studio and see if you can talk them into teaching you.
